The main thing most film studies programs do not offer is a straightforward and practical checklist to get moving. In most cases, programs teach you theory, technique and technical application. Now don’t get me wrong, these are all very important fundamentals in building a successful career as a filmmaker, but its seldom that you are given any form of a roadmap to getting a jumpstart.
In today’s post, I explore six basic steps to get your idea or screenplay into action. And my “Action” I mean production. There is absolutely no reason that a person in today’s age can’t make a movie, if they desire to.
The steps in this video are designed for anyone looking to make a feature film and has either $30k-$50K available to make the movie, or has the ability to raise those funds.
This video post is most certainly to turn traditional film studies on its head. I hope you enjoy!
